Love your decorations! Popcorn on the tree sounds so charming, though I know my puppy Sadie would just eat it all (if we didn't beat her to it!)!!

Oh! I love the old fashioned sentiment behind cutting the tree and I've never strung popcorn! Probably because my husband, daughters or golden retriever would eat it.
